Helpful tips on how to use our digital stamps
What is a digital stamp?
A digital stamp in crafting, stamping, card making and scrapbooking is a digital image printed onto paper from the user's printer. Digital stamps come in a variety of formats, including PNG, JPG, and TIFF. Digital stamps offer many advantages over traditional rubber stamps because of their ability to be flipped, resized, rotated and easily stored.
All digital stamps are received as instant downloads upon payment. All digital stamps are received as JPEG’s and PNG files (read below to see how these are different!!), with the resolution at 300 dpi, this ensure that you will always get a crisp, clean image not matter how you resize them!!
How to use your image(s)
Find where you have saved your file to, if it is a zipped image use WINZIP to extract the images and save in a file where you can easily locate them.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE USING A WORD PROCESSING PROGRAM
Open your word processing program (Word & Works are the most common) At the top you will see a tab labeled insert “PICTURE” . Find the picture you want to use!! Your picture will have dotted lines around it, you can then use your mouse to grab the handles and drag the image to the size you want. Also you can flip/reflect the image. You are now ready to either print a single image or you can duplicate these images multiple times to save waste on your cardstock.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE USING PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
Photoshop & Photoshop Elements: open image and click image at the top tabs and then resize or image size and then just type in the sizes you want Windows Paint : Open image go to resize / skew and type in percentage to make smaller Remember you can also flip the images in these programs also You can also use your Adobe Reader with images being used as PDF files

TO HELP PREVENT SMEARING OF IMAGES & OTHER USEFUL TIPS
Once you have printed your image, heat with your heat gun. This will help dry the image to prevent smearing (this will however depend on the ink and type of printer used). Use a versamark pen to go over outlines and then heat emboss just as you would with a rubber stamp Resize and duplicate your images to save on wasted card stock. Remember all images can be flipped Create a special file for all your digi downloads so you can easily locate them
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A JPEG AND A PNG FILE??
A PNG file has a transparent background ad therefore can be used to overlay other images (fantastic for creating scenes!!). A JPEG file is solid.
HOW TO CHANGE THE COLORS OF YOUR DIGITAL STAMP??
There are many ways to do it. I am going to tell you how I do it using either Photoshop or Photoshop Elements:
1. File, new and open your Digital Stamp you wish to use.
2. Go to Image>MODE and ensure it is set to a color mode and not the other choices given!!
3. Click on the color swatch (foreground color) and select the color you want for the stamp.
4. Click on the Paint Bucket Tool.
5. Ensure that the box next to "Contiguous" is NOT checked. And make sure the mode is NORMAL.
6. Click anywhere on a black line of the digital stamp and it will change color. So now you can have your Digital stamp outline in any color you wish!! How is that for a bunch of inkpads at a cheap price!!
